About the Artist

Brogan O’Rourke is a self-taught illustrator who attributes his drawing ability to his obsessive doodling during his school years. While it has been a lifetime passion, it wasn’t until he left his career as a lineman that he began to practice his art in a professional capacity.

With a love for travel and outdoor exploration, Brogan can often be found behind the wheel of his self-converted camper van or lost in the woods somewhere.

When at his home in Peterborough, Canada, Brogan spends most of his time tending to his backyard vegetable garden, engrossed by a book, or shaking sawdust out of his clothes from the latest woodworking project.

About the Art

Drawing inspiration from the whimsy of the natural world and a yearning for discovery, Brogan shapes his imagination into ink sketches that pop from the page, seeming as if torn from a dreamscape. Brogan’s fascination with the human experience and curiosity about the world fuses with his attention for small details to create intricate illustrations that reveal the extra- within the ordinary.

Brogan works with musicians to create unique album art, music videos, posters, and other merch. He collaborates with businesses on branding projects and product line design. He also works with clients to create singular custom-commissioned art pieces — from personalized and meaningful gifts for loved-ones to large-scale murals to craft unique spaces.

Brogan’s work has spread worldwide, with his art having been shipped to 17 countries on 5 continents. Working with cool people to create a vision and bring it to life is what drives his creative passion.
